#Breaking Point. Study after study reveal that whereas many girls join lower primary as they start their academic journey, as they grow on, to become young women, the number tends to drastically drop vis-à-vis their male counterparts.
The reasons have always varied; although what frequently stands out is the inability of these girls to manage their “monthly days” in public, due of lack of sanitary pads. African girls and women have suffered in silence for way too long. They are becoming really frustrated, and now they are out to make their case. R n’ B star, Rema Namakula is up in arms as well, joining the “Keeping Girls In School” Campaign.
