Uganda’s king-sized music superstar, Bebe Cool is hopping mad at the media after a cartoon was published in a daily, earlier this week critiquing the singer’s perennial sweep of the accolades, even where he’s conjectured least likely.
Dancehall music in Uganda is sculpted after Jamaican Dancehall. It has been one of the most influential styles of music in the Ugandan music industry for the better part of the last two (2) decades.
The style of music is very similar to the Jamaican style and so like all imported genres, the only major difference is in the language used. Although most dancehall artists will perform in their local language, in this case Luganda, Swahili as well as try to mimic Jamaican patois every now and then.
As an ambassador of our National Team, The Uganda Cranes, Bebe Cool wrote a very beautiful tribute to the team, hailing everybody that was part of its long awaited qualification into the AFCON games.
